There’s a saying: "Search where you lost it." True. But it doesn’t mean you keep losing in the same place again and again.
In Tollywood, there’s a producer — known to be a good man, weighed down by family responsibilities. Despite that, he gave up a stable software career to pursue cinema. He made a few films and lost crores. Yet, he refuses to give up.
Usually, after a few losses, a producer learns what kind of films to make, who to work with, and how to budget. But this producer, unfortunately, hasn’t learned.
Perhaps because no other actor is giving him dates or chances, he’s chasing a small-time hero — someone who doesn’t even have major hits to his name. A couple of films did okay, nothing more.
Apparently, when the producer approached the hero for a film, the actor demanded ₹5 crore as remuneration. His logic? “You approached me because I have market value. So what’s wrong in asking?”
Fair point from the actor’s side, perhaps. But shouldn't the producer do some basic math — like how much this hero is actually worth, and what kind of openings his films draw?
Instead, the producer is reportedly already negotiating with a ₹4.5 crore figure in mind, without thinking about any of this. Other producers, hearing this, are stunned.
Some say the hero might even demand ₹6 crore now. “A producer should at least think before investing,” they comment.
