A 36-year-old software engineer in Hyderabad allegedly died by suicide after jumping into a lake, leaving behind a 19-page note in which he accused his wife of having multiple affairs.
Police have launched an investigation into the claims mentioned in the note.
According to preliminary information, the victim, Seetharam, cited marital discord as the reason for his extreme step.
In the note, he alleged that his wife, Renuka, had relationships with three men over the past one-and-a-half years.
He further claimed that one of the men had recorded private moments with Renuka and that the footage was later circulated on Instagram by another individual identified as Ramana.
Local reports suggest that Seetharam jumped into Hussain Sagar and drowned.
Seetharam wrote that he came to know about the alleged affairs only after seeing the videos online, which caused him severe emotional distress.
He also alleged that one of the individuals had visited his home multiple times in his absence.
In the note, he expressed feelings of betrayal, stating that he had cared for and supported his wife but was deeply hurt by the alleged developments.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
Officials said the authenticity of the suicide note, along with the allegations regarding the affairs and circulation of private videos, will be verified as part of the probe.
