Media is playing a destructive role in Andhra Pradesh as per the observations made by the team from IIM Ahmedabad.
IIM guys do research in various states regarding the political situations, media role and several other aspects.
As part of such research, an intellectual team led by Sundaravalli Narayanaswamy has conducted a study in AP. Nearly 60 researchers participated in the study.
They have conducted the study in different areas of AP on administrative practices and they have submitted a report to the AP Government. There are several sensational aspects in the detailed report submitted by the IIM team.
The media in AP is not only playing a destructive role in the state but they have also become the reason for the increase in the corruption in several government departments.
The corruption and the illegal negotiations of the media is building pressure on the government employees. While a section of employees are suffering due to the media involvement, another section who are ready for conspiracies are enjoying the benefits..
The report further clarified that the media has lost commitment and honesty. This is the first time that an IIM report commented on the wrongdoings of the media in the country at this scale. Why has the media become like this?
Some media houses in AP are directly supporting the opposition party TDP. News dailies like Eenadu, Andhra Jyothy, TV channels like ETV, TV5 and ABN Andhra Jyothy are competing among themselves in this aspect. It is a bitter truth that these media houses are supporting TDP by risking their credibility.
This yellow media is magnifying any small issue that is raised by TDP leaders but they are downplaying the welfare schemes and other developmental activities taken up by the ruling Jaganmohan Reddy's government.
People may raise similar questions about Sakshi but one thing is clear. Sakshi might have supported the YCP but it has never resorted to this kind of mudslinging and Goebbels propaganda. If Sakshi has done such things, we all should condemn it.
