Indhra Raam of Chaurya Paatham fame is currently starring in a unique psychological thriller directed by cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Shamdat.
Shamdat, who made his directorial debut with the Mammootty-starrer Street Lights, is widely known for his cinematography in blockbusters like Uppena, Virupaksha, Thandel and more.
Produced by V Chudamani under the V Dream Films banner, the film also features Ravindra Vijay in a pivotal role.
Vijay Sethupathi unveiled the title and first-look poster today. Titled Don’t Sleep, the film carries the chilling tagline: “The longer you sleep, the closer he gets.”
The poster shows Ravindra Vijay armed with a gun, chasing Indhra Raam across icy mountains. Indhra Raam is seen in the foreground with his eyes shut and forehead bandaged, hinting at trauma, danger, and a blurred sense of reality.
Director Shamdat himself is handling the cinematography, while Gokul Harshan is composing the music.
With several acclaimed Malayalam technicians onboard, this Telugu thriller gains a unique creative edge. The makers plan to release the film in theatres soon.
