Telangana Officer Appointed Sajjala's OSD

The Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday appointed a Telangana government officer as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of its advisor (public affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.

According to a government order, Dr Dasarath Ram Reddy, superintendent of Cherlapalli open air jail in Hyderabad, has been brought on deputation from Telangana and he will be officiating as the OSD for Sajjala.

He will be on deputation in Andhra Pradesh for a period of two years. The Telangana government has agreed to relieve him from the duties on the request of the Andhra Pradesh government. Accordingly, the Telangana home department issued orders.

Dasarath Ram Reddy is expected to take charge as Sajjala’s OSD shortly. He will be taking care of the official appointments of Sajjala, apart from other duties to be assigned to him.

Sajjala, who is shouldering the responsibility of the party activities as well as the government responsibilities, would get the much-needed relief, once Dasarath Ram Reddy joins the duty, sources said.
