Gang of four damaging AP reputation, says Jagan

YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday lashed out at the opposition Telugu Desam Party and its friendly media for painting the state financial position in poor light and damaging its reputation.

Making a power point presentation in the state assembly on the financial position of the state, the chief minister explained the facts and figures which vouch that the Andhra Pradesh has been performing better than the previous government and many other states of the country.

Jagan said a concerted effort was being made by Chandrababu Naidu and his friendly media to show the State in dire straits comparing it to Sri Lanka, while in reality the growth rate of Andhra Pradesh was very rosy and had been very encouraging.

“Braving Covid-19, we had gone forward balancing welfare and development and State’s performance is far better than the previous government and even the national average,” the Chief Minister said.

He gave a graphic detail of the comparative figures on GDP, loans taken, government guarantees and other indices to show the financial management which clearly are in favour of the State.

“The Gang of Four which follows the principle of plunder, stash and devour (dochuko, dachuko, thinuko) have started a vicious campaign to defame the government,” he said.

Jagan said the people of the state need to know the facts that when the budget of the previous and our government was almost the same and the loans the present government had taken were less than in those taken during the Chandrababu Naidu regime.

“Why could he not carry out the welfare schemes which we are implementing?” he asked.

Earlier Industries Minister G Amarnath said that the Opposition is trying to spoil the brand image of the State and have been writing letters to stall the industrial growth in the State.

K Parthasarathi, Abbaya Choudhary and others listed out the failure of Chandrababu Naidu government and the initiatives and incentives being given by the State Government to promote industries.
