TDP social media targets Pawan, Naidu worried!

Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has firmed up the alliance with Jana Sena Party led by power star Pawan Kalyan and is in the final stages of concluding seat-sharing negotiations.

While the leaders of both the parties are trying their best to bring about a coordination between the workers of both the parties at the grassroots level, the social media activists of the two parties have not been able to come to terms with the latest developments.

They continue to attack each other and posting messages running down the leaders of both the parties – Naidu, Lokesh of the TDP and Pawan Kalyan and Nadendla Manohar of the Jana Sena.

This is causing a lot of worry for Naidu. On Tuesday, the TDP made an open appeal to its workers not to fall into the trap of the YSR Congress party, instigating Pawan Kalyan fans and post derogatory posts against Jana Sena Party or its leaders.

“If the social media supporters of the TDP have any respect towards the party and want the party to come to power in the next elections, please stop mudslinging at our friendly party and its leaders. Instead, you should focus on the efforts of the party to come to power and what the Naidu government had done to the people in the past,” the party said in a message.

It also asked the social media warriors of the party to expose the Jagan Mohan Reddy government, its harassment of the opposition, the atrocities being perpetrated by the YSRCP leaders and the Jagan government’s failures to develop the state.

“As you are aware, our party is going in for an alliance with the Jana Sena Party. Yet, some social media workers are posting derogatory messages on Jana Sena, apart from other irrelevant issues. This will have unnecessary counter posts from the opposite side. This will damage the party prospects,” the TDP said in the appeal.

It said it was unfortunate that even the TDP leaders enjoying different positions in the party and its affiliated organisations were also falling in the trap of YSRC and posting controversial messages.

“Please stick to your job and not post meaningless messages on our friendly party leaders,” the TDP said.
