SSC, Inter Exams Will Go As Schedule, Holidays For Others

The AP government had finally announced that the public examinations would be held for the SSC and Intermediate students as scheduled earlier.

However, the government had announced holidays for the Class I to IX due to increasing Covid 19 threat in the state.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the high level committee headed by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday.

The chief minister discussed at length the increasing number of Covid 19 positive cases in the state and the measures taken by the government to control it.

The state had reported more than 6,000 cases a day in the last one week and the death toll touched the two digit.

Some traders, particularly the chambers of commerce and industry in some areas have imposed self-regulations to combat covid.

The traders have announced holiday on Sundays and close the shops after 6 pm every day. They have also instructed fellow shop owners and business establishments not to allow customers without face mask.

Keeping all these and the increasing threat of the covid, the AP government had decided to enforce covid guidelines strictly.

The police were authorised to impose heavy fine on people if found without mask.

The chief minister had earlier asked the officials to take steps to control the virus spread without going for the lockdown.
