Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had honoured his party leaders from Visakhapatnam, who were arrested during his visit on October 15.
The nine leaders, Kona Tatarao, Sundarapu Vijayakumar, Sandeep Panchakarla, P V S N Raju, Peetala Murthy Yadav, Kolluru Rupa, Rayapureddy Krishna, Srinivasa Patnaik and Chittibilli Srinu.
These leaders were invited to the party office at Mangalagiri, where Pawan Kalyan honoured them with a shawl for their bravery towards the ruling YSR Congress leadership.
In Visakha, the police have arrested nine leaders and sent them to judicial remand in connection with the attack on the minister’s vehicles at Visakhapatnam airport.
Pawan Kalyan got angry with the state government for the arrests and rushed to Vijayawada, where he made hue and cry over the arrests.
He secured the support of BJP and TDP as he threw open challenge to the government and the YSR Congress leadership.
Surprisingly, it was on this occasion, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu paid a visit to Pawan Kalyan’s hotel room and extended support.
The two leaders consoled each other and have emphasised the need for the unity among the opposition parties in the state.
Though the Jana Sena is in alliance with the BJP, Chandrababu Naidu’s meeting with Pawan Kalyan and the two leaders statements with the media raised an eyebrow over their pact.
It is being suspected that the Jana Sena would break its alliance with the BJP and have tie up with the TDP for the 2024 elections.
