Botsa has any strong evidence against Heritage?

For the last three days, YSR Congress party leader and former minister Botsa Satyanarayana has been cornering the ruling Telugu Desam Party-led coalition in the Andhra Pradesh state legislative council on the supply of ghee by Heritage Foods under the guise of Indapur Dairy has been rocking the state politics.

The way Botsa has been attacking the TDP has made one wonder whether he has strong evidence linking Indapur Dairy to Heritage Foods.

He has not backtracked even after receiving a legal notice from Heritage Foods on Wednesday night and said he would expose everything, if the state government is ready for a debate in the council.

One doesn’t know whether Botsa really has any evidence to substantiate his allegation proving an indirect linkage or proxy arrangement between Indapur Dairy and Heritage Foods.

He has not, in his public statements so far, produced documentary evidence such as shareholding records, corporate filings, board memberships, financial transactions, contractual documents, or regulatory disclosures establishing a formal or beneficial ownership link.

No official investigative or regulatory authority has, as of now, publicly confirmed any such connection.

At this stage, Botsa’s claims appear to be political allegations based on asserted indirect connections rather than substantiated by verifiable documentary proof placed in the public domain.

Heritage Foods, on the other hand, has categorically denied any association with Indapur Dairy and has escalated the matter legally, signalling confidence in contesting the allegations in court if necessary.

On Thursday, too, there were tense scenes state legislative council after YSRCP members staged a protest following the chairman’s rejection of their adjournment motion.

The situation escalated when party members gathered near the Chairman’s podium, blew whistles, and disrupted proceedings, forcing a brief adjournment of the House.

Minister K Atchannaidu strongly condemned the conduct of YSRCP members, accusing them of deliberately wasting House time despite the government providing clear responses over the past three days.

The minister challenged the opposition to present documentary evidence linking Heritage Foods to the Indapur dairy issue, stating that the government was ready for a prolonged debate on the matter.

He accused Botsa Satyanarayana, of misleading the public by displaying a packet of cheese during a press meet and claiming it was ghee.

He said that despite legal notices issued by Heritage Foods, YSRCP leaders continued to make baseless allegations.

He further stated that Heritage Foods had decided not to conduct business with any state government and asserted that the company had never engaged in financial irregularities.
