Whenever someone takes the name of Pawan Kalyan, the two directors that come to mind are Trivikram and Harish Shankar.
Both praise Pawan Kalyan almost on par with a god, and they are widely regarded as the right and left hands of his film career.
Trivikram gave the blockbuster Attarintiki Daredi for Pawan Kalyan, and Harish Shankar gave Gabbar Singh, another blockbuster of that era.
But the same Trivikram gave Pawan Kalyan’s career its lowest disaster with Agnyaathavaasi.
Pawan Kalyan had never seen such a low point in his career until then. Despite releasing in the festival season, the film turned into a colossal disaster.
Next is Harish Shankar, who made Ustaad Bhagat Singh with Pawan Kalyan again after Gabbar Singh.
The film was such a disaster that Pawan Kalyan reportedly decided not to act in any films in the near future, as a flop might impact his image. He was said to be bewildered and perturbed by the disastrous outcome of Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
The film failed to make even a mere Rs 100 crore gross in India and struggled to touch the $800K gross mark in North America as well.
Meanwhile, his previous film OG, directed by Sujeeth, made Rs 100 crore gross on day one itself.
So, both Trivikram and Harish Shankar are the directors who gave Pawan Kalyan his career’s best pleasant surprises and also his worst bitter shocks.
