BJP to step up campaign against KCR!

BJP to step up campaign against KCR!

The recent controversy over several goofs-up in the declaration of Intermediate examination results in Telangana has come as a god-sent opportunity to the Bharatiya Janata Party to revive its fortunes.

Though the Congress leaders have also taken up the agitation, they are not in a position to recover as of now, as majority of its leaders including MLAs have defected to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. So, there is no way the agitation will bring any major political benefits to the Congress.

On the other hand, the BJP, which has also taken up a big agitation over the bungling in Intermediate examination results, is of the view that the agitation will fetch tremendous mileage to it if it takes up to the national level.

That is precisely, why a delegation of Telangana BJP leaders are planning to meet President Ram Nath Kovind and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi on May 7 and 8 and raise the issue of the alleged goof-up in the declaration of results of intermediate examinations in the state.

A memorandum would also be submitted to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) seeking necessary action in this regard.

Senior BJP leader Bandaru Dattatraya alleged that the TRS government had been trying to hush up the alleged failure of the Board of Intermediate Education and had not taken any steps to blacklist the private firm which handled the exam results.

Moreover, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was trying to save all those involved in the alleged bungling of the results, he said.

“Telangana BJP president K Laxman had taken up five-day long indefinite fast seeking justice for the intermediate students, but the government has not responded," Dattatraya said.

He sought to know as to why the Chief Minister was going back on initiating action against those who committed the alleged goof-up.

Dattatraya further said the BJP's struggle seeking justice for the students would intensify.
