Senior Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy has announced that he will resign from the party on March 25.
He made this decision public through an open letter addressed to his supporters in the Jagtial constituency.
In the letter, Reddy said he has been going through “mental agony” within the party for the last 20 months.
He stated that repeated humiliation and insults had pushed him to a point where he could no longer continue in the Congress.
However, he did not reveal his next political move. He said his future decision would be taken only after consulting local leaders and grassroots workers.
Appealing to his supporters, Jeevan Reddy said he would need their support and guidance in his continuing political journey.
