Hyderabad Man Shot In The Face In Chicago

HYDERABAD: A 30-year-old man from the  city was shot in the face by an unknown person in Chicago on Wednesday morning.

The victim Mohammed Akbar, who sustained a bullet injury in his cheek, underwent two surgeries.

Akbar’s elder brother Mohammed Shafi told media that “On Wednesday, at around 8.45 am, when Akbar was walking towards his car at Albany Park in Chicago, an unidentified person opened fire at him from a close distance. He received a bullet injury on the cheek.”

Akbar, a resident of Meerpet went to the US to pursue Masters in Computer Systems Networking at DeVry University in Chicago. Shafi said he had applied for an emergency visa for him and his parents.
