Rarest Interview: First on GreatAndhra

Shirish Reddy, the unseen face but the most powerful and driving force behind Sri Venkateswara Films of Dil Raju, never appears in public or in front of the camera to give interviews.

Being the first cousin of Dil Raju, he has had a childhood passion for the film industry, and he joined Dil Raju to pursue that passion together.

The family background of Dil Raju is not widely known. Many assume that Dil Raju and Shirish Reddy are own brothers, but they are actually first cousins.

In this interview — a candid conversation with VSN Murthy of GreatAndhra — Shirish Reddy shared many interesting insights about Dil Raju’s family and the history of film distribution in the Telangana region.

During the conversation, several intriguing revelations came to light. One such highlight was about Bunny's remuneration for the film Arya, and the shocking remark Allu Aravind made in that context regarding payment to his son.

Shirish also spoke critically about Mythri Movie Makers, Warangal Srinu, and the Sitara banner. He explained why the percentage-based system is essential for their theatre business.

Shirish Reddy emphasized how tough he is in the business, in contrast to Dil Raju.

In a surprising statement, he said it is not right to expect heroes to reduce their remuneration  — and he backed this opinion with his own logic.

Shirish Reddy also mentioned that neither the director nor the hero contacted them after the release of 'Game Changer'.

He stated that without Anil Ravipudi, their company would not exist today.
