Known for his pungent comments and sharp attacks on the political rivals, senior YSR Congress party leader and Andhra Pradesh industries minister Gudivada Amarnath on Tuesday made an interesting comment on power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan.
Speaking to reporters at Visakhapatnam, Amarnath said maverick evangelist and president of Praja Shanti Party K A Paul is a much better and politician with conviction than Pawan Kalyan.
“At least Paul has a policy and ideology, which are lacking in Pawan Kalyan. While Paul has announced that he will be contesting in all the 175 assembly constituencies in the state, Pawan Kalyan has no guts to do so,” the minister said.
He challenged the Jana Sena chief to field his party candidates in all the 175 constituencies in the state, instead of forging alliances with other parties and confining his party to a few seats.
Reacting to the criticism that the YSRC had held a meeting of Kapu leaders only out of fear for Jana Sena Party, Amarnath said there was no such scene for Pawan Kalyan.
“We have been holding meeting with all community leaders regularly. There is no special significance to Kapu leaders’ meeting,” he said.
Stating that Jana Sena Party is a political party but a cinema outfit, the minister said the less one talks about Pawan Kalyan, the better.
“His dialogues might attract people in films, but in democracy, they don’t have any values,” he said.
Ridiculing Pawan’s eagerness to join hands with TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, the minister said while Jana Sena Party workers want the actor to become the chief minister, he is eager to make Naidu as the chief minister.
