Even as the UPA led Congress Government at the Center is mulling options on appointing a new government in place or imposing President Rule in Andhra Pradesh, leaders of Telangana and Seemandhra are mounting pressure for Chief Minister post.
Though Kapu leaders like Kanna Lakshminarayana and PCC Chief Botcha Satyanarayana’s names are being heard, Union Minister Chiranjeevi name is being figured at last minute, sources said.
Chiranjeevi before rushing to Delhi revealed his mind in Kerala that he is ready accept any responsibility including CM of successor state or AP for time being if high command asks to do so.
While the AICC accepted to appoint two PCCs for Telangana and Seemandhra shortly it is being ready to put in place a new government. Since the leaders of two regions are against the President Rule, the Center seems to have a second thought on using Article 356.
Those others vying for the top post from Seemandhra are Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, while deputy CM Damodara Rajanrasimha, D Srinivas, Jaipal Reddy, Jana Reddy names are doing rounds from Telangana. Interestingly, the Center summoned all MPs, ministers to Delhi for finalizing its decision on the crucial issue.
