Uttam Wife To Sacrifice Her Seat For TDP?

With the Congress party high command insisting that the Maha Kootami will have to be formed at any cost by accommodating all the three other alliance partners, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy is likely to be the first person to make sacrifices for the alliance.

According to the latest reports, the Congress is going to announce the first list of candidates on November 1. Information is that Uttam’s wife N Padmavathi will not be given the party ticket from Kodad, which she represented in the last assembly. Apparently, Kodad will be allotted to Telugu Desam Party as part of the grand alliance.

In fact, Kodad had been the TDP bastion since 1978 and it won from there four times. In 2014, however, Padmavati won over TDP’s Bollam Mallaiah Yadav with 13,374 votes majority.

Another person who will have to make the sacrifice is former Congress Legislature Party leader K Jana Reddy.

He will be contesting from Nagarjunasagar, but his attempt to secure the Miryalguda seat to his son Raghuveer Reddy will not succeed, Miryalguda is likely to go to Telangana Jana Samithi as part of alliance.

The Congress high command has apparently decided to enforce one-family-one ticket rule strictly to accommodate the alliance partner.

If that is the case, Sabita Indra Reddy might get Maheshwaram seat, but her son Karthik will not get the Rajendranagar seat, which will be given to the TDP. Karthik might be fielded for Lok Sabha elections in 2019.

Similarly, Komatireddy Rajagopal will sacrifice Munugode seat for TJS, while his brother Venkat Reddy will contest from Nalgonda.
