A few months ago, Telangana Congress Legislature Party leader K Jana Reddy said the Congress would find a Baahubali to resurrect the party and take on the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the 2019 elections.
His comments led to a lot of discussion within the party and some leaders like Komatireddy brothers even said every leader in the party was a Baahubali when the time comes.
However, it now appears the real Baahubali has come into the Telangana Congress party, if one were to go at least by the comments of popular film director Ram Gopal Varma.
Known for his controversial comments in the social media, Varma posted on Monday describing Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy as the real “Baahubali” for the Congress party.
Reacting to the reports that Revanth is going to join the Congress party on Tuesday, Varma said he was very very happy over the development.
“I have regained confidence over the Congress party with Revanth Reddy deciding to join the party. If the Congress party is a film theatre, Revanth is a Baahubali. Just like Baahubali rained currency for the film industry, Revanth would ensure raining of votes for the Congress party in the elections,” Varma said.
Well, how far Varma’s prediction will prove right has to be watched out.
