All these days, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister has been talking about the raw deal meted out to the state by the NDA government in implementing the promises made in AP Reorganisation Act and not granting special category status to the state.
In the coming days, Naidu is said to be planning to talk only on the attempts of the BJP to witch-hunt him by foisting fresh cases and digging out old cases against him, just because he had come out of the NDA and encountered Modi directly.
The three-day party ritual Mahanadu to be held at Vijayawada from May 27 to 29 is expected to focus on how the BJP leadership was trying to target Naidu personally using the official machinery.
In the process, Naidu would also disclose how the BJP was joining hands with the YSR Congress party and Jana Sena to pull him down from power.
On Friday, Naidu held a meeting of party leaders to review the arrangements for Mahanadu and finalise the agenda for the same.
Naidu told the party leaders that the BJP would start troubling the state in general and him in particular, after the announcement of results in Karnataka assembly on May 15.
“It is very clear from the statement of BJP spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao that there will be unexpected political changes in Andhra Pradesh in the coming days.
In Karnataka, the Income Tax department staff continued searches targeting the BJP’s opponents at the behest of the Centre for the past one year and is also making every attempt to grab power in the State. The same thing will happen here,” Naidu said.
Naidu, however, said he was not afraid of any such witch-hunting and instead, all such attempts would only turn advantageous to the TDP.
“Don’t we know about BJP’s tactics? Yet, we came out of the NDA just for the sake of the state. The people will understand it,” he said.
