KTR, Kavitha experts in publicity campaign!

Social media is a huge platform for getting attention of the people and also seeking vast publicity. For politicians, this is the best medium to attract people.

And, there are no better people than Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s son K T Rama Rao and daughter K Kavitha, in effectively utilising the social media to garner publicity.

Apart from being very active on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, they launch innovative campaigns in the social media to attract people.

Kavitha, who represents Nizamabad Parliamentary constituency, started an interesting campaign in the social media -- #Sisters4Change – promoting wearing of helmets by all men who drive two-wheelers.

She asked the womenfolk to gift helmets to their brothers on the occasion of Rakhi festival.

The campaign was kick-started on Monday, on the occasion of the 41st birthday of her brother KTR, minister for IT and industries in the KCR cabinet.

In a statement, Kavitha said every day, about 400 people die in two-wheeler accidents across the country because they don’t wear helmets.

“Let us join hands for our brothers’ safety. Set a new trend this Rakhi: Gift your brother a helmet,” she said in a statement.

The MP tweeted: “Anguished by the number of 2-wheeler accidents, I would like to make a serious effort 2 save some lives. Join me #Sisters4Change #GiftAHelmet.”

The campaign evoked quick response within hours.

KTR retweeted Kavitha and appreciated the cause. Badminton stars Jwala Gutta and Saina Nehwal, also, expressed their support to the MP’s campaign #Sisters4Change.

“Great Idea @RaoKavitha #Sisters4Change #GiftAHelmet,” Jwala tweeted.
