Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao might not acknowledge the Bharatiya Janata Party as a big threat for him in the state, but he is actually very scared of the BJP’s national leadership and particularly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This was the opinion expressed by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy.
He told a big rally at Chennur in Adilabad district as part of the Congress Praja Chaitanya Bus Yatra on Monday night that KCR was not sincere towards enhancing the quota of Scheduled Tribes and Muslims.
"KCR has been working as an agent of Prime Minister Narender Modi and BJP. He supported demonitisation, GST and even voted for BJP's candidates in elections of President and Vice President.
He is afraid of opening his mouth before Modi and for the same reasons he did not pursue the Reservation Bills with the Centre," he alleged while asking KCR to clarify on the status of Bills passed in the Assembly.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that KCR's proposed Federal Front was also aimed at benefitting BJP. He said that the Chief Minister has been playing various gimmicks to divert people's attention from his failures.
The TPCC Chief said that the resources like sand, coal and water should be used for the benefit of locals.
He accused the TRS Government of patronising sand mafia across the Telangana State. He said sand worth hundreds of crores were being smuggled with authorities taking no action under the pressure of KCR.
Uttam Kumar Reddy also listed out the failed promises of KCR for Dalits. He said KCR neither made a Dalit CM nor he distributed three acres of land for Dalit families.
He said that both SCs and STs were deprived of reservation benefit in proportion to their population in Telangana State.
