For quite some time, there has not been much sound from loud-mouth YSR Congress leaders like Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, R K Roja, Vasireddy Padma and for that matter Ambati Rambabu.
Not a single day used to pass without these leaders shooting their mouths off against ruling Telugu Desam Party and its president N Chandrababu Naidu or his son Nara Lokesh.
Whether it was a press conference or a debate in the television channels, they used to dominate the show, attacking the TDP and Naidu.
But of late, they have been heard or seen much in the media. Now and then, Ambati Rambabu appears in the channels and addresses an occasional press meet from Vijayawada or Amaravati.
And Roja had virtually gone into oblivion for a couple of months after the YSRC debacle in Nandyal and Kakinada elections and now, she is trying to make her presence felt now and then only on people’s issues. Her press conferences have lacked the punch seen in the past.
Sources said following the advice of his political strategist Prashant Kishor, Jagan advised these loud-mouth leaders to keep their mouths shut because the kind of language they had been using against the ruling party was doing more damage than good for the party.
Jagan himself has realised how his comments against Naidu during Nandyal by-elections had backfired.
It is learnt Jagan is preparing a new set of official spokespersons who have mastered the subject and can attack the government with full evidences.
It’s good that Jagan is now acting with a lot of maturity in politics!
