The Telangana issue is currently on the climax stages and the bone of contention has been the status of Hyderabad. As expected, TRS wants Hyderabad for itself completely and eventually they have also indicated of driving away the non-Telangana folks.
Meanwhile, the Seemandhra members have been putting up a strong fight to keep the state united.
In between all this, one news has arrived. It is heard that the centre is mulling seriously over making Hyderabad as permanent Union Territory and the first step for that is joint capital. Technically, a joint capital tends to serve as a focal point for both states and it is best governed under a central rule.
We have already seen how Chandigarh serves in a similar fashion to both Punjab and Haryana.
Buzz is that Congress is keen to convert Hyderabad as the same and this would also ensure that they will have the grip on the city rather than giving it away to someone like TRS or anyone else. Wait for the official confirmation on this folks!
