Ex-CBI JD to contest LS polls on BJP ticket?

Ex-CBI JD to contest LS polls on BJP ticket?

If reports doing rounds in social media circles are to be believed, former IPS officer and ex-joint director of CBI V V Lakshminarayana is most likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party sooner or later.

“I will take a decision on my future course of action after touring different parts of the state,” was the cryptic comment made by Lakshminarayana, when asked which party he would choose to enter politics.

However, indications are that Lakshminarayana might prefer the BJP and might emerge as the party’s star campaigner in the next elections, thanks to his clean image and sincerity.

He is learnt to have been invited into politics by none other than Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao. The Andhra BJP leaders also expressed desire to meet him and invite him into the saffron party.

Sources said Lakshminarayana might be fielded either from Kurnool or Guntur in the next Lok Sabha elections.

He has a lot of following among the youth and neutrals; so, it might fetch a lot of mileage to the BJP, if it can rope him.

However, another section argues that Lakshminarayana’s ambition is not to just become an MP. He appears to be a very publicity crazy person and wants to be in the news always.

If he joins BJP and gets elected as an MP, he would soon be a forgotten person in the state, which he does not want.

So, there must be a bigger plan for him, rather than just contesting the Lok Sabha elections. Let us wait and watch what his next moves are!
