Pawan Kalyan Drops Surender Reddy's Film?

Pawan Kalyan Drops Surender Reddy's Film?

Pawan Kalyan had recently announced a new project with director Surender Reddy, to be produced by Ram Talluri.

The project had generated considerable buzz, with Vakkantham Vamsi penning the script.

Interestingly, this film was initially planned long ago but was shelved midway, only to be revived after the success of "OG".

However, things seem to have taken a surprising turn. Following the failure of "Ustaad Bhagat Singh", Pawan Kalyan appears to have had a change of heart.

In an official statement released today, Pawan Kalyan Creative Works clarified that the actor-politician is not committing to any new projects at the moment.

Sources indicate that he may take an extended break before deciding on his next film, putting the Surender Reddy project in serious doubt.

Meanwhile, the team also stated that any decision regarding the launch of "OG 2" rests solely with Pawan Kalyan himself. At present, there is no clarity on when the film will go on floors.

After assuming office as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, only "OG" managed to generate significant hype, while his other recent releases failed to open strongly.

Against this backdrop, his decision to step back from new commitments doesn’t come as a surprise.
