YSR Congress party’s Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy has virtually turned out to be a thorn in the flesh of Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Sai Reddy has been firing a series of salvos at Naidu one after the other in the recent past, pushing the TDP leaders into the defensive.
The TDP leaders are also counter-attacking the YSRC MP by making strong allegations and both the sides have been providing a lot of entertainment to the media and also the people.
On Saturday, Sai Reddy fired yet another salvo at Naidu stating that the latter had met fugitive industrialist Vijay Mallya in London in 2016.
“The TDP leaders are comparing me with bank defaulter Vijay Mallya. While I have not taken a single rupee as loan from banks, it was Chandrababu Naidu who had close relations with Vijay Mallya. I have strong evidence to prove that Naidu had met Vijay Mallya in London in 2016. Let him deny that. If he doesn’t, it amounts to Naidu accepting my allegation,” he said.
He alleged that Naidu had taken Rs 150 crore from Vijay Mallya towards party fund during his meeting with the latter in London.
“Naidu should give an explanation to this,” Sai Reddy said.
TDP MP C M Ramesh reacted swiftly to the charge of Sai Reddy.
“It is not proper on the part of the YSRC MP to sling mud at us and ask us to wash it in public. If he has guts, let him prove his allegations,” he challenged.
