21 Telugu students deported from US in a single day

It's widely known that a thousands of Telugu students have embarked on journeys from Hyderabad Airport to the USA for advanced studies, causing a significant buzz in the Telugu regions.

Today's reports, however, reveal that approximately 21 of these students have been subjected to deportation at airports like Chicago, Atlanta, and San Francisco, with reasons not being explicitly stated.

The media has amplified the plight of these 21 students, a fraction of the larger student population, creating a substantial news story.

But what leads to such incidents? Insights drawn from past occurrences shed light on this matter.

In general, Immigration Officers scrutinize the students' admission forms and inquire about the university or college they intend to pursue their studies at.

Interestingly, a handful of students stumble in their responses due to difficulties in understanding the accent or nervousness leading to forgetfulness.

When Immigration Officers encounter uncertainties, they dig deeper with additional queries, inadvertently raising tension amongst these students. This heightened tension can trigger further suspicion, potentially culminating in deportation.

Regrettably, some students, unaware of the seriousness, might respond to Immigration Officers with raised voices or a disrespectful tone, unknowingly aggravating the situation and consequently facing immediate deportation.

It's essential for local media, students, and their parents to stop assuming that Immigration Officers merely stamp a 'welcome' on passports after glancing at paperwork. They don't go by paper work alone.

These officers retain the authority to interrogate and harbor suspicions towards newcomers entering their country. Such questioning is well within their purview as part of their professional duties.
