YSRC MP Moves HC Against Police Cases!

YSRC MP Moves HC Against Police Cases!

Facing a series of criminal cases filed against him by the YSRCP MLAs in various police stations, rebel YSRC MP from Narsapuram parliamentary constituency Raghurama Krishnam Raju on Friday moved the high court seeking to quash the cases.

Raju filed two separate quash petitions in the high court – one against the cases filed against him in Bhimavaram and the other in Poduru police stations, appealing to the court to see that the cases are quashed and no action be taken with regard to the cases.

The high court admitted the petition and posted the case to a later date for hearing. Apparently, the MP feared that the police might arrest him in the criminal cases, so as to trouble him for revolting against the YSRC leadership.

It may be mentioned that state housing minister Ch Sriranganath Raju filed a case against Raju in Poduru police station and Bhimavaram MLA Granthi Srinivas in the local police station. Both of them accused the MP of abusing them in foul language and calling them pigs.

They also alleged that Raju had sought to create caste conflicts in the West Godavari district leading to law and order issues.
