Yellow Media Projects Naidu As IT Man

Yellow Media Projects Naidu As IT Man

The yellow media in Andhra Pradesh has long portrayed TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu as the IT visionary, creating an image that associates him with development and credits him for bringing IT companies to Hyderabad.

However, the reality is quite different.

The foundation stone for IT towers in Madhapur was laid by the late Nedurumilli Janardhana Reddy when he was the chief minister. Back then, Chandrababu Naidu, leading the TDP, protested against it, alleging corruption. This marked the first time Naidu referred to Janardhana Reddy as "Dhanarjana Reddy."

One of the largest IT companies, Sathyam Computers (now Tech Mahindra), was established in 1987 when Naidu was in the opposition.

By the time Naidu became the chief minister in 1995, Hyderabad was ranked third in software exports nationally. However, when he stepped down in 2004, Hyderabad had slipped to fourth place.

Major companies like Google, Facebook, Apple, and Amazon arrived in Hyderabad during the tenure of the late Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, who was the chief minister. Despite this, Chandrababu Naidu takes credit for these companies, with the yellow media reinforcing his claims.

Additionally, significant infrastructural projects like the Shamshabad airport and the outer ring road were completed during Dr. Rajasekhar Reddy’s administration, not Naidu’s.

These facts need to be highlighted to the public to expose the false narratives perpetuated by the yellow media and Chandrababu Naidu regarding his contributions to Hyderabad's development.
