Will TDP's Win In Tirupati Bring Down Petrol Prices?

Will TDP's Win In Tirupati Bring Down Petrol Prices?

Electioneering every time takes new extremes with candidates or the leaders making unrealistic promises to lure the voters.

An Independent candidate in Tamil Naidu is said to have promised to provide helicopters for the voters for their travel.

Though not as the same, people of Satyavedu Assembly constituency of Tirupati Lok Sabha, where by-election campaign is in progress, witnessed a similar promise.

This time, it was by TDP national general secretary and former AP minister Nara Lokesh, who campaigned for the party nominee Panabaka Lakshmi, the other day.

He said, "If people of Tiruputi Lok Sabha constituency voted for TDP and Panabaka Lakshmi wins, they would see a steep fall in the prices of edible oils, petrol and gas."

One wonders what one TDP MP would do in Delhi to bring down the prices of these products, which is no way connected to an MP.

People talk light of Nara Lokesh for his political knowledge and understanding of things, besides presenting them.

His statements often go viral in the social media as it shows how ignorant he is or how political illiterate he is.

This statement only adds to his image among the Telugu people, who make fun of him, as petrol, gas and edible oil prices are not in the hands of any MP, but the Central government.

Either Lokesh is an illiterate to tell that prices would come down if TDP wins in Tirupati, or the voters are illiterates and ignorant to listen to such speeches.

But, the fact is that such speeches often come from Lokesh and people make fun of him.
