It’s no secret that Jana Sena chief and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has no love lost for Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Since 2014, in two consecutive elections, Pawan’s political moves have centered on defeating Jagan rather than simply winning power.
Even in 2019, when he allied with Left parties and the BSP, his primary aim seemed to be YSRCP’s defeat. In 2024, Pawan finally succeeded in that mission.
However, a new name has recently emerged that appears to irk Pawan just as much — Narayana. Both filmmaker R Narayana Murthy and CPI National Secretary K Narayana have recently criticized Pawan, creating ripples in political circles.
Among the Telugu film fraternity, R Narayana Murthy stands out as the only industry figure to openly call out Pawan's threats toward the film industry and his allegations that there was a conspiracy to delay the release of Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
While many in the industry reportedly disapproved of Pawan’s behavior, none dared to speak up — except Narayana Murthy.
Known for his fearless stance and commitment to public accountability, he has earned praise from civil society for questioning a leader who himself claims to have entered politics to ask tough questions.
Meanwhile, CPI’s K Narayana has been politically slamming Pawan as well.
In a recent statement, he criticized Pawan for preaching Sanatana Dharma while not practicing its core values. He even demanded Pawan’s arrest for allegedly misrepresenting Dharma, which sparked a heated debate.
Taking Pawan’s own words — where he called for action against those who violate Sanatana Dharma — K Narayana turned the tables by saying Pawan himself should be arrested.
He pointed out that in Sanatana Dharma, divorce does not exist and that one must stay with their partner through good and bad.
“How can a man who has had three marriages claim to follow Sanatana Dharma?” he asked, stirring strong reactions.
His repeated attacks on Pawan’s personal life have angered Jana Sena supporters, many of whom are now lashing out at Narayana on social media.
The name “Narayana” has now become a trigger point for Pawan Kalyan and his loyalists — leading netizens to comment sarcastically, “Doesn’t matter which Narayana it is, Pawan doesn’t seem to like any of them!”
