TDP To Boycott AP Assembly Budget Session

TDP To Boycott AP Assembly Budget Session

The Opposition TDP has decided to boycott the 2021-22 budget session of the AP State Assembly.

The budget session is scheduled to be held on May 20, for one day, due to Covid 19.

Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan had already issued notification convening the session of the Assembly and the Council for the day.

The Assembly secretariat had also issued a notification reminding the members of the Assembly and Legislative Council to follow the Covid 19 guidelines while attending the session.

Meanwhile, the Telugu Desam Legislature Party (TDLP), which held a virtual meeting on Tuesday decided to boycott the one-day budget session.

The TDLP felt that the government had failed in administration, containing Covid 19 and is going for vindictive politics.

The TDP would hold a mock assembly session on the day to highlight its issues, including the political vindictive nature of the ruling YSR Congress.

The TDLP alleged that the YSR Congress government had miserably failed to contain the Covid 19, including providing beds and oxygen to the Covid 19 positive patients.
