In 2024, only three Indian cities crossed ₹1 lakh crore in primary home sales, with Hyderabad securing its spot among the top performers, according to data from the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI).
The top three were Gurugram (₹1,09,375 crore), Mumbai (₹1,05,323 crore), and Hyderabad (₹1,03,321 crore).
CREDAI Hyderabad members attributed this performance to sustained demand for new homes in urban markets.
“Urban markets continue to grow despite concerns of a slowdown. Developers are scaling effectively with strong product-market alignment,” said B. Jagannath Rao, president-elect of CREDAI Hyderabad.
He also noted that cities like Pune and Bengaluru are rapidly catching up, and may soon cross the ₹1 lakh crore milestone as well.
