Pitiable Condition of Senior TDP Leaders

Pitiable Condition of Senior TDP Leaders

The condition of TDP senior leaders in Andhra Pradesh is deplorable. The situation regarding the allocation of tickets to some senior leaders as part of the alliance with Janasena is unclear. They are unable to accept the fact that they may not receive tickets, and as a result, they are announcing tickets for themselves.

There are rumors within the alliance that seats like Rajahmundry Rural, Tirupati, Tenali, Vijayawada West, and others have been allotted to Janasena. However, the TDP leaders in charge of these areas are not accepting this.

Speaking to the media, Rajahmundry Rural Sitting MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chaudhary announced that he is contesting from there once again. However, Janasena claims that Kandula Durgesh will contest from Rajahmundry Rural.

Butchaiah reminds that Chandrababu promised to provide tickets to the incumbents. There is tension within the TDP regarding how Butchaiah will react if the ticket is given to Janasena there.

There is also widespread speculation that the Tirupati seat will be given to Janasena. However, former TDP MLA Sugunamma claims that she will be given the ticket, stirring up sentiments as if these were her last elections.

A similar situation is unfolding in Tenali, where it is speculated that the seat must be given to Janasena's key leader Nadendla Manohar. Former TDP minister Alapati Raja hopes to receive a ticket from Tenali. If Nadendla is given a ticket, there is concern that Alapati's followers will not cooperate. TDP leaders are complaining that they are being forced to allocate the Tenali seat to Janasena, even though they believe Nadendla will lose. This is also the case in Mylavaram of Krishna district.

YCP MLA Vasantha Krishnaprasad is ready to join either TDP or Janasena. The two parties are strategically negotiating to have Krishnaprasad join Janasena and receive a ticket to challenge former minister Devineni. Devineni is finding it hard to accept this turn of events. It is noteworthy that Devineni has stated he will contest from Mylavaram under any circumstances.

Leaders such as Devineni, Gorantla Butchaiah Chaudhary, and Alapati Raja are among the main losers of the alliance game. Additionally, the future of leaders like former minister Bandaru Satyanarayanamurthy and Ganta Srinivas is unclear.

There is anger among party elders that Ganta Srinivas did not support the TDP during difficult times. Criticism is strong that he only appears on the political scene during elections, neglecting his duties the rest of the time.

The TDP also believes that Chandrababu is cleverly sidelining leaders whom he dislikes, citing the reason for the alliance.
