Permanent Closure of Doors For Naidu From BJP

Permanent Closure of Doors For Naidu From BJP

The parties leading the Congress coalition and the BJP coalition held their meetings in Bengaluru and New Delhi, respectively.

The Congress coalition meeting lasted for two days, while the BJP coalition meeting took place on Tuesday.

These meetings hold significant political importance as they involve prominent political parties in their respective coalitions in preparation for the 2024 general election.

Interestingly, Chandrababu Naidu was not seen as a part of either the BJP-led coalition in Delhi or the Congress-led coalition in Bengaluru.

It's worth noting that Naidu played a key role as the convenor of the BJP-led coalition, also known as NDA, when it was formed 25 years ago.

However, during the recent meetings, Naidu was absent, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not mention Naidu's name as a founding member, only recalling the names of Vajpayee and Advani.

Prior to the 2019 general election, Naidu joined the Congress-led coalition, also known as the UPA. He even aligned with the Congress party in the Telangana Assembly elections.

Naidu participated in the UPA meetings in Bengaluru and Delhi and held a joint press conference with Rahul Gandhi. Surprisingly, Naidu was not present with the Congress team in Bengaluru.

Despite his four-decade-long political career, Naidu found himself isolated while other top leaders of the country were engaged in consultations.

One might question whether Naidu's opportunistic politics have led to his isolation from the national parties.

It is evident that BJP has permanently closed its doors to Naidu. Even smaller parties without any MPs have received invitations to the NDA meeting, while TDP, with its three MPs, did not receive any invitation at all.

Out of the total 38 participating parties, eight have no MPs, nine have 1 MP, and three have 2 MPs. This situation contradicts the saying that there are no permanent friends or foes in politics, as BJP has labeled Naidu as its foe and is showing no signs of mercy.
