Mudragada says bye-bye to Pawan Kalyan?

Mudragada says bye-bye to Pawan Kalyan?

It appears veteran Kapu leader and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham has become vexed with the present day politics in Andhra Pradesh, which has virtually become a use-and-throw kind.

After creating a big hype in the media that he would be joining the YSR Congress party, Mudragada dropped the plan after the YSRCP leadership ignored his demands, including an MP ticket for him, MLA ticket for his son and a couple of other tickets for his followers.

Later, he began looking up to Jana Sena Party headed by actor Pawan Kalyan. He held discussions with the Jana Sena Party leaders, who met him at his residence in January twice. With Jana Sena Party,  too, he reportedly put forth a few conditions.

Jana Sena Party leader Bolishetty Srinivas told Mudragada that Pawan Kalyan would visit his house at Kirlampudi village in East Godavari district shortly and finalise the deal. But even after a month, there are no signs of Pawan Kalyan coming to Mudragada house.

Disgusted with this, Mudragada has decided to drop his plans to join the Jana Sena Party as well.

“I have told whatever I wanted to convey to Pawan Kalyan. It is up to him to decide. We have nothing more to say. If he comes, I will salute him once. If he doesn’t, I salute him twice,” he said.

Apparently, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who has an alliance with Pawan Kalyan, has opposed giving any ticket to Mudragada.

He reportedly told Pawan that the TDP workers won’t cooperate with Jana Sena,  if he is given the ticket.

Naidu told him that Mudragada had abused him openly in filthy language and the TDP workers are angry with him.

“So, they might not vote for him, if he contests on Jana Sena ticket. Rest is left to you,” the TDP chief reportedly told Pawan.

The other Jana Sena Party leaders, too, felt that Mudragada has outlived his utility and the Kapu community has not been taking him seriously.

“He is an outdated leader and is not an asset to any party,” they said.
