Pothina Mahesh, the Janasena BC leader who devoted a significant amount of time and money to the party, felt estranged by his party chief, Pawan Kalyan.
As part of an alliance, Mahesh was sidelined, and Sujana Chowdhary was fielded as an MLA candidate from Vijayawada West. This upset Mahesh, leading him to rebel against Pawan Kalyan.
Mahesh criticized Pawan, stating that while Pawan earned a lot of money during his political career, people like him lost a considerable amount of time and money.
Mahesh also mentioned selling his properties for survival, while Pawan Kalyan acquired many new properties.
Today Mahesh resigned from his Janasena membership and expressed his disappointment and disgust towards Pawan Kalyan in a press conference.
He claimed that everyone who believed in Pawan Kalyan had been betrayed.
Mahesh described Pawan as obstinate and indifferent to the plight of betrayed leaders within his own party.
Mahesh also recited the famous poem "Medi pandu chooda melimai undunu..potta vippi chooda purugulundu," referring to Pawan Kalyan.
According to Mahesh, Pawan is merely an actor and not a true leader.
He questioned Pawan about giving a ticket to Sujana Chowdhary, who had previously insulted Pawan's mother on a TV channel.
Mahesh predicted that Janasena would become Praja Rajyam-2, implying that it would merge into a larger party.
Mahesh also demanded Pawan Kalyan to bring his wife Anna Lezhnova for the election campaign in Pithapuram, if he can.
