If Jagan Is In, I Am Out: Pawan

Power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan on Saturday made it clear that his party would end alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party, the moment YSR Congress party joins the National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre.

Pawan was reacting to the speculations that have been doing rounds in the political circles that YSR Congress party would join the NDA government soon and would be given three berths in the Narendra Modi cabinet.

The speculations surfaced following the visit of YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy flying to Delhi twice in a gap of two days and holding discussions with several top leaders including Modi and Amit Shah.

“As far as I know, there is no question of any alliance whatsoever between the YSRC and the BJP. Please don’t suspect Modi and Amit Shah. Even I don’t believe the BJP would have any sort of understanding with the YSRC,” Pawan told the farmers of Amaravati and his party workers during his tour in Amaravati villages.

He made it clear that if the BJP really invited the YSRC into the NDA, the Jana Sena would end its alliance with the BJP.

“There is nothing wrong in the BJP having an alliance with the YSRC. But Jana Sena will not be part of the alliance,” he said.

Pawan Kalyan said the Jana Sena had entered into an unconditional alliance with the BJP only for the sake of Amaravati.

“While Modi and Shah did not make any commitment on Amaravati, the BJP has taken a policy decision to support Amaravati as the capital city,” he clarified.
