It appears Chandrababu is in a big fix. He is unable to understand how to promote his son Lokesh. This opinion is coming after he chose Acham Naidu as AP TDP head.
Normally, party heads tend to push their kith and kin for such posts irrespective of their credentials or worthiness. Here, though Acham Naidu is chosen, it is an open secret that the moves are made by Babu and Lokesh.
By appointing Acham Naidu, they are trying to project that BC person is given a powerful role but that is not of much use. On the other hand, Jagan government has created 56 BC Corporations and posts for them. Not just that, Jagan has given strong positioning to BCs in his ministry and gave 2 MP berths to them. All this seems to have pushed Babu to put Acham in front.
Many say if Babu felt Lokesh had it in him, he would have made him the party head. And if he had done that it would have brought some faith in cadre but that didn’t happen. From his side, Acham mentioned in his first media brief that Babu would be their CM Candidate. Does that mean Lokesh is incompetent?
Also, there are reports that Telangana TDP leaders are unhappy with having L Ramana as the Telangana head. However, truth remains that TDP is having just an insignificant presence in the state. Given that, when Babu’s focus is entirely on AP why is he not taking the initiative to give the pedestal to Lokesh? If this is how things go, the future certainly looks bleak.
