Naveen Tummala, an Telugu techie who is on an H1B visa in Texas, USA, was targeted by Sara Gonzales, an independent social media personality who claims to be a journalist.
She trespassed into the food truck owned by Tummala’s wife and tried to create an issue out of it. Naveen Tummala aptly responded to her with clarity and confidence and defended himself.
Sara tried to intimidate Naveen Tummala, but she appeared frightened when he pointed out that she had trespassed onto his property, which is illegal.
She left the place immediately. Naveen is being praised not only by Indian communities but also by many foreigners of different nationalities living in the US on H1B and other visas.
Even on Sara’s X handle where she posted the video, more than 90 percent of respondents are supporting Naveen and criticizing Sara for her overreaction.
The episode also shows how some attention seeking social media influencers target non citizens in the US to create controversy.
Their aim often appears to be increasing followers for their channels rather than genuine journalism, sometimes doing such acts in the name of patriotism.
