Bhuvaneswari pays ex gratia to bereaved TDP workers

Expressing deep sympathies with the families of those who died suddenly after the former chief minister and Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu was arrested and sent to jail in skill development scam, his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari on Wednesday extended financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh to each of the two bereaved families of the TDP sympathisers.

She said though Naidu had been in the jail after his arrest on illegal charges, he always thought about the welfare of the people of the State.

On the inaugural day of her 'Nijam Gelavali' (truth should prevail) yatra on Wednesday in Tirupati district, Bhuvaneswari toured Chandragiri assembly segment.

Before meeting the family members of those who died of shock on the illegal arrest of Naidu, she garlanded the statue of her father Late N T Rama Rao and paid rich tributes to him at Naravaripalle.

She first visited the residence of A Praveen Reddy of Chandragiri who allegedly died of shock on October 17 and later the residence of Kanumuri Chinnabba who died on September 25 as they could not digest the illegal arrest of Chandrababu Naidu.

After consoling the family members of the deceased persons, Bhuvaneswari said, "It is our duty to console the family members of any party activist when the family head is no more. Chandrababu Naidu is deeply hurt on learning about these deaths of party activists."

Observing that Naidu concentrates more on party activists than his family members, she assured the family members of Praveen Reddy and Chinnabba that the party will always stand by them.

She extended Rs 3 lakh each as financial assistance to these two families and said the TDP will extend support to them whenever needed.

In the first phase, Naidu’s wife will go on a three-day visit to Chandragiri, Tirupati, and Srikalahasti. Later, she addressed a public meeting at Chandragiri.
