Amar, Murthy alley fears on media GO

Amar, Murthy alley fears on media GO

Government advisors, Devulapalli Amar and K Ramachandra Murthy addressed their first press conference on Friday.

They spoke on the Jagan Mohan Reddy government’s new GO issued to keep a check on the fake and politically-motivated news.

There is hue and cry all over the State against this GO. Even national media is writing against this GO while the journalist unions too are protesting.

The two advisors, besides Ministers Perni Nani and Kodali Nani, clear the cloud that no action would be taken against any journalist unless the report are false, baseless and malicious.

They agreed that media in AP is politically motivated for the past some time.

They cited some reports against the government in AP and said that such reports are politically motivated and have no base.

The government is intending to take action against such reports and the intention was not to keep a check on the media.

With several years of experience in the media, the two advisors assured journalists that no action would be taken against the journalists unless the reports are malicious and the media refused to take the rejoinder.
