Why Is AP CID Silent On Ramoji?

Why Is AP CID Silent On Ramoji?

The AP CID is investigating the financial irregularities in the Margadarsi Chit Fund Private Limited company headed by Cherukuri Ramoji Rao.

CID officials have questioned Ramoji Rao and his daughter-in-law, Cherukuri Sailaja Kiran, once.

They have also issued notices to both Ramoji Rao and Sailaja Kiran, asking them to appear before the investigating officers at the CID headquarters in Guntur on July 5.

But, as expected, Ramoji Rao and Sailaja Kiran did not attend the questioning session, citing health grounds.

There was high speculation that the CID would issue notices again and arrest Ramoji Rao and Sailaja Kiran.

Forget about the arrest; the CID did not seek an explanation from them or issue another notice until now.

The Jagan Mohan Reddy government had been doing the same in many other cases.

The government would create much hype about certain issues and go to the extent of reaching out to the accused.

But the government would remain silent at the doorstep of the accused in most cases.

In the Amaravati land cases, the government issued notices to Chandrababu Naidu, P Narayana, and others, but it did not go beyond the notices.

The government had secured court clearance for attaching the house of businessman Lingamaneni Ramesh on the banks of river Krishna, where Chandrababu Naidu is living.

Even after the court clearance, the government did not make any move forward.

The Jagan government announced that it would demolish all illegal buildings on the banks of river Krishna but did not touch even a single structure, except the Praja Vedika, four years ago.

Perhaps, this will be the same fate for Ramoji Rao’s Margadarsi Chit Fund case!
