The makers of “Peddi” are yet to wrap up a crucial special song, which is said to play a significant role in the film.
The team has been on the lookout for a popular and suitable actress to feature in this number.
Initially, names like Disha Patani, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Rashmika Mandanna were in consideration. However, the latest buzz suggests that Mrunal Thakur has been finalized for the song.
Mrunal Thakur is widely known in Telugu cinema for portraying subtle, performance-driven roles.
She rose to prominence with “Sita Ramam” and went on to appear in films like “Hi Nanna” and “Family Star,” besides a brief cameo in “Kalki 2898 AD.” Notably, none of these roles leaned towards glamour.
Interestingly, she has now been approached for a special song in “Peddi,” where she will reportedly share screen space with Ram Charan.
Industry buzz also suggests that she is being offered a hefty remuneration for the appearance.
However, an official confirmation is still awaited, as Mrunal Thakur is yet to sign on the dotted line. Once finalized, the makers are expected to make a formal announcement.
On the work front, she will next be seen in “Dacoit,” starring opposite Adivi Sesh.
