1. Kurup: This Malayalam film arrived in Telugu and it was launched amidst some expectations.
Dulqar Salman is the main lead in it. There is a popular belief that Malayalam films surely win the hearts of the majority audience.
The promotions were done reasonably well. But it couldn't pull the senses of the audience at the theatres.
The collections were poor from the opening day and eventually it failed at the box office.
2. Pushpaka Vimanam: This film with Anand Devarakonda in lead was released amidst huge expectations.
The multiple genre treatment marred the experience of the audience. Though this film could stand up as an entertainer of the week, it couldn't make the collections as anticipated.
The openings were bad and the collections proved weak by the end of the weekend.
3. Suryavamshi: This Bollywood film made in typical South Indian style of bygone era by Rohit Shetty has been running its trailers in the movie theatres for quite a long time.
The two waves of Corona pandemic delayed its release and finally it could make some good collections at the box office. This is the first Hindi film in theatres to break the ice of pandemic hibernation and pull the collections.
The run in the second weekend was also satisfactory. This Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh starrer is a patriotic action film.
4. Raja Vikramarka: The film that released with this powerful title ended up as a powerless cliched flick.
Karthikeya and Tanya paired up in this film and the talk on the first day itself was bad which eventually resulted in the lack of collections at all the centers.
With word of mouth publicity being bad, the film failed to gain momentum right from day one.
5. Enemy: This Vishal, Arya starring film came from Tamil as a dubbed version into Telugu.
The promotions were weak from the beginning and very few could get the chance to know about this film. Anand Shankar directed the film while S Vinod Kumar is the producer.
This action thriller has already finished its second week run at the theatres with meagre collections.
