Shashtipoorthi, marking the collaboration of lead pair Rupeysh and Akanksha Singh is set for release on May 30. As a part of the promotions, heroine Akanksha has revealed a few interesting tidbits.
She plays Janaki, a traditional village girl and temple treasurer which is her first time in such a rooted Telugu role, shot extensively in Rajahmundry.
Akanksha praised the film’s technical standards and called working on it a learning experience, like attending an acting school. Sharing screen space with Rajendra Prasad again was enriching, especially in emotional scenes. She appreciated director Pawan Prabhu’s clarity and vision, and lauded producer-actor Rupeysh’s passion and dedication. She revealed that her role carries multiple shades and isn’t a regular heroine part.
The actress revealed that this film is going to move the audience with its emotional content. She praised her co-star Rupeysh who had also produced the film.
She further revealed that music is going to play a very crucial part in this film and said it is an absolutely blessing to work with Ilaiyaraaja.
This film is directed by Pavan Prabha and produced by Rupeysh under Maa Aai banner.
