The Active Producer’s Guild has proposed that all actors, big and small, should agree to a cut of 20% of their remuneration due to the uncertainty of the theatrical business in the current COVID19 crisis. As of now, no male star has reduced their remuneration.
This is why Rashmika Mandanna is refused to cut her remuneration. She is demanding more now. She deserves a hike as she has delivered two hits already this year with “Sarileru Neekevvaru” and “Bheeshma”.
These two films have cemented her position in Tollywood, and she refuses to cut down the remuneration. She argues that when no big male star has agreed to this rule, why should the actresses, who are in much demand, obey it.
With this argument, she has got big money for Sharwanand’s “Adalloo Meeku Joharlu”. She is demanding the same for Akhil – Surender Reddy’s film. But we have to see whether they would agree to her demand.
