'Project K' Inspired From Hollywood's 'Elysium'?

Prabhas' next film, "Project K," directed by Nag Ashwin, reportedly deals with a new man-made planet, according to inside sources.

It is said to involve a conflict between the people on Earth and the rulers of this new planet.

While the team has not revealed whether the film is adapted from any Hollywood movie, there is a similar movie called "Elysium."

Released in 2013, "Elysium" starred Matt Damon and Jodie Foster and is set in the year 2154. The story takes place in a world where Earth is diseased and polluted.

The wealthy elite create a space station orbiting just outside Earth's atmosphere, which can be seen from the planet, to live a disease-free and peaceful life, and they name it Elysium.

Elysium also features Med-Bays that can cure even the most fatal Earthly diseases and deformities within seconds with a mere exposure to some rays in a closed chamber (which may remind Telugu audiences of a futuristic episode in "Aditya 369").

Overall, the protagonist in "Project K" is on a mission to save the people on Earth, which aligns with the protagonist's task in "Elysium."

It remains to be seen whether this is mere speculation or there is an iota of truth in this.

While there is nothing wrong with drawing inspiration, trolls will not spare anything blatantly lifted from the original. However, if the movie becomes successful at the box office, the trolls can be ignored.

Let us hope that "Project K" works wonders for the makers.
