AI Revolution: A Big Boon For Star Heroes

AI Revolution: A Big Boon For Star Heroes

Many are worrying that AI will take over everything. Yes, that may be true to some extent. Some people also say that top film stars who are commanding huge paychecks today may disappear and struggle for income in the future. But that may not actually happen.

In fact, the reverse could happen. Big stars may earn even bigger amounts. Ultimately, it is stardom that brings money.

Take the example of Prabhas. He is one of the highest-paid actors, reportedly commanding around ₹150 crore per film. In the future, his AI image could be copyrighted. Once that happens, he could license his AI likeness to multiple filmmakers after listening to their stories.

He may not even need to go to film sets. His AI version could act in several films simultaneously. For example, if his AI image appears in 20 films at the same time, his income could theoretically multiply many times.

The same logic applies to other popular actors and actresses. Character artists and villains could also benefit. Their AI images could still have value, allowing them to earn money even while sitting at home.

Another interesting aspect is that AI versions of actors may continue to exist even after their lifetime. If their AI likeness remains copyrighted, it could continue generating income for their families. That is one possible advantage of AI when strong brand value exists.

Of course, some people argue that AI-generated faces will completely dominate the entertainment industry. That may happen to some extent, but it is not guaranteed.

Consider YouTube. Thousands and millions of video songs are uploaded there. But did they replace film songs? No. Film songs still remain popular. Similarly, AI-generated films may entertain audiences on social media, just like reels and YouTube videos do today.

However, big star films will likely continue to attract audiences to theaters.

As production costs become lower with AI, audiences may still come to watch films featuring their favorite heroes. A large portion of the revenue could then go to those star brands.

In that sense, strong brands will continue to earn big, and AI could actually become a boon for big stars rather than a threat.
